Alina Konshina is a classically trained pianist and experienced educator with over 20 years in performance and 15 years in teaching. Based in Bethesda, Maryland, she provides professional, individualized piano instruction in a supportive and inspiring studio environment.

Mrs. Konshina holds a Master’s Degree in Piano Art from the Sverdlovsk State Music College named after P.I. Tchaikovsky. Her approach blends the influences of Russian musical education, European tradition, and American teaching practices, offering students a well-rounded learning experience.

A recognized performer and teacher, Alina has received multiple first-place and gold awards in piano competitions and has performed in concert halls across various cities. She is an active member of the National and Maryland Music Teachers Associations, and continues to gain new methods through ongoing professional development.

Her teaching focuses on strong theory and technique, while encouraging creativity and expression. Many of her students have won scholarships, honors, and competition awards. Known for her patience and professionalism, Mrs. Konshina is dedicated to helping each student reach their full musical potential.

LEVELS

Beginner Piano

Perfect for those just starting their musical journey. These lessons introduce the fundamentals of reading music, basic rhythm, hand coordination, and keyboard familiarity—no prior experience needed.

Intermediate Piano

Designed for students with several years of playing experience who want to take their skills to the next level. Focus is placed on musical expression, developing technique, and building a more confident repertoire.

Advanced Piano

Tailored for advanced players aiming for a high level of performance. Whether you're preparing for competitions, conservatory auditions, or simply refining your artistry, these lessons offer detailed, focused instruction.

Teaching Philosophy

At Alina’s Music Studio, every student receives a strong musical foundation while learning in a

supportive and inspiring environment. Lessons focus on developing healthy piano technique, musical

understanding, and confidence at the instrument.

Regardless of the program chosen, all students learn:

• proper hand position and healthy playing technique

• development of finger strength and coordination

• scales and technical exercises

• sight-reading skills

• tone production and musical expression

• classical repertoire appropriate for the student’s level

Students can choose one of three learning tracks depending on their goals, interests,

and level of commitment.

American Piano Program

This program is designed for students who want to enjoy learning piano in a positive and engaging

environment.

Lessons follow a modern American approach to piano education and include a variety of musical

activities that help students build confidence, creativity, and a love for music.

This program focuses on:

• gradual development of note reading

• musical games and engaging learning activities

• creative exploration and improvisation

• enjoyable repertoire at the student’s level

This track is ideal for students who enjoy learning piano as an enriching extracurricular activity while still

building solid musical skills.

Classical European Piano Training (Russian Piano School Tradition).

This program follows the traditions of the European classical piano school and is designed for students

who want a deeper and more structured musical education.

Students work on developing strong technique, musical discipline, and expressive playing while studying

classical repertoire.

This track may include preparation for:

• festivals

• competitions

• recitals

It is ideal for students who are motivated to achieve a higher level of piano playing and develop strong

musicianship.

ABRSM Examination Program

For students interested in internationally recognized certification, the studio also offers preparation for the

ABRSM examination program (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, UK).

This program includes:

• exam repertoire preparation

• scales and technical requirements

• sight-reading

• ear training

• music theory
